The classic story is retold through music and dance
New name, new look, and upcoming shows!
Music Carolina Logo
In recent years, the mission and activities of the Carolina Chamber Symphony have evolved from its chamber orchestra roots to include everything from classical chamber music, jazz, dance, theatre, and multi-disciplinary programs. After months of discussion about our identity crisis, we are pleased to announce our new name: Music Carolina. We also are pleased to show off our new logo, created by the brilliant Winston-Salem artist Kyle Webster. We will transition to our new web address in January. For now, we will continue to use www.carolinachambersymphony.org.
Our Winter Season!
We will be presenting four different programs to help you celebrate the holidays. We kick off with the popular Swingle Bells, featuring Martha Bassett, the Giannini Brass and the Jazzmas Trio. We are presenting “A Charlie Brown Christmas”, featuring Vince Guaraldi’s compositions from the beloved TV special, and once again will be joined by the Winston-Salem Youth Chorus. The Camel City Jazz Orchestra will keep the holidays swingin’ with featured vocalist Diana Tuffin. Last but not least, we present three performances of the family favorite Peter and the Wolf, directed by Peppercorn Theatre, with musicians from Music Carolina and featuring the choreography of internationally-acclaimed Helen Simoneau.
See you in December!
